The original 53 built-in recipes were rechecked for gluten ingredients and celiac preparation risks on October 15, 2026. Four simple backup recipes were added the same day and screened for listed ingredients and preparation risks. They use naturally gluten-free foods or specify gluten-free alternatives, but each packaged product, substitution, and cooking setup must be checked for the person eating it. These recipes have not been reviewed by a registered dietitian. This is an ingredient and instruction review, not laboratory testing, certification, or a guarantee that a finished meal is safe. User-added recipes are outside this review.

Look up a barcode

See community-entered product details before you shop. This cannot confirm whether a product is safe for you.

Fig scanner ↗

Some iPhone viewers can take a photo but cannot read its barcode automatically. The printed numbers always work.

Fig scanner opens Fig’s app page; scan in the Fig app. Fig is a separate service, and JoyPlate does not send your barcode or food profile to it.

Product details here come from Open Food Facts and can be incomplete or outdated. Always read the package in your hand, check gluten-free claims and cross-contact information, and contact the maker when unsure.

Ready to order?

Take your list to a grocery service. You’ll choose products, check gluten-free labels, and check out there.

This does not fill a cart automatically. Compare your complete basket before ordering.

Keep costs down

Start with what you own, then compare local specials.

Enter your ZIP on Flipp to see local ads. Compare the full basket and unit prices; no single store is always cheapest.

Budget-friendly bases

Rice, potatoes, beans, eggs and seasonal or plain frozen produce can stretch meals. Check labels on packaged items and prevent cross-contact.

Meal prep for this week

Cook once, then divide into labeled meal portions. Amounts match your meals and people eating.

How to store prepared food safely

Refrigerate perishables within 2 hours (1 hour above 90°F), using shallow containers. Keep the fridge at 40°F or below. Use cooked leftovers within 3–4 days, or freeze for later. Thaw in the fridge and reheat leftovers to 165°F.

Celiac kitchen check: Wash hands, counters, utensils and cookware. Use a separate toaster and fresh spreads where shared crumbs may be present. Check labels every time.

Gentle things to watch for

Labels can change.

Check sauces, seasonings, marinades, malt, and packaged foods.

Shared tools matter.

Toasters, cutting boards, fryers, utensils and spreads can transfer gluten.

Oats deserve a pause.

Choose oats labeled gluten-free if you eat them. Some people with celiac disease still react; discuss concerns with your care team.

Your notes can support a conversation with a clinician or dietitian. They cannot diagnose an intolerance or confirm exposure.

Your daily pause

Make space for your progress.

Choose one small step. Notice one thing that mattered.

Questions to ask before ordering
  • Can you prepare this meal for someone with celiac disease?
  • Are the fryer, grill, utensils or prep surfaces shared with gluten-containing food?
  • Are the sauces, seasonings and ingredients verified gluten-free?

A review or a gluten-free menu label is not a safety guarantee. Confirm with the restaurant each time.
